Member Peaking Generation

All NIMECA member utilities have local peaking resources in their communities.  The members have 36 units totaling 108 MW of capacity.  There are 30 diesel only units, 6 dual fuel diesel/natural gas units, and one combustion turbine.  The peaking units operate during times of peak loads and during emergencies to provide power to the member communities.
